Is there anything I need to do prior to this treatment?
Due to the high strength of this treatment, there is some prep involved including the use of Vitamin A and Pigmentation Inhibitor in your home care program. Prep time will vary depending on the skins Fitzpatrick types . This will all be discuss during your complimentary skin consultation with your skin specialist.
What can be expected during treatment?
The combined action of friction and marine silicates causes a micro-trauma skin and promotes the natural rejuvenation process. You will feel a warm scrub like effect that may cause a small amount of discomfort. The scrubbing process usually takes between 2-5 minutes per section to complete, depending on skin condition.
What can be expected after treatment?
Immediately after your treatment your skin feels warm & slightly sensitive. The Deep Sea Peel lifts the epidermis to promote shedding and removal of old, damaged skin cells. Shedding begins between day 3-4. As excess skin is sloughed off, the skin naturally replenishes moisture levels, renews collagen synthesis and improves overall epidermal structure. As the natural healing process is taking place we advise to exfoliate 7 days post treatment.
